[color=darkgreen]Ahem... so, i'm a stout devotee of yaoi, but recently i've read some shoujo... well, i deleted about 80% of the shoujo mangas i've d/led, but the few that i kept, i really like....

Like Ouran Host Club... oh my God! can the heroin be more uncute? and the heros more cute? XD i feel so happy when i read the manga somehow... i even like kyouya... he's er, interesting somehow, the shadow king... and the anime!! wahhahahahaahha... the twins' voices sound abit different than i expected, but i like the laughing sound of tamaki, sounds so cute! and argh!! Kya~

*squealing and going kya~ing moment*

ahem.... neeways, there's Lovely Complex... i like it at first because vera vincent put Gackt's pic as the credit page... but it become very exciting and funnier as the story progress.... it's a fun read for me....

and then, there's Gekka no Kimi.... i know, it's unhealthy since it made me so depressed today reading it and crying over it.... but i'm addicted to the pain and even though i know i'm gonna in terrible pain if i countinue reading it, i couldn't help myself... >_< my nose and eyes still hurt...

and oh, the ppl who i emailed these shoujo manga better start commenting about those mangas in here or i'll whip your sorry behinds! oh yeah, Gekka no Kimi got some sexual contents but Lovely Complex and Ouran Host Club so far are pretty clean... XD

Fruits Basket coz the anime is too happy2 and the manga is super angsty dark sad right now. Thus I love it. I can't wait for the ending....

I love Shoujo anime even though i am a guy. My favorite is Pichi Pichi Pitch. Kind of a long story to explain. But you should google it and see if you like it.

Fruit Basket is a fun one, but the ending of the anime... >_> don't get me started.... Kagen no tsuki, yeah i have it... but i think they did a great job of adapting it into the movie.. sure, they took out loads of part from the manga, but the movie started better and ended better than the manga, in my opinion... the manga sorta ended in a sad way.... *ish trying not to reaveal the ending*

ah, did i tell you guys i also like the theme song to the Ouran Host Club anime somehow? XD that song makes me happy!

Shinjou Mayu stuff is erotic but the stories do have decent plots. Her drawings are hot ^^ hehe i mean the guys.

Angel Sanctuary is a must read if you are into Hyde =P. all the Yuki Kaori stuff are good to read. Staring at my complete collection~~

Skip Beat is great as well but I don't see much translations going around. Me and my friend started doing a scanlation project for it a few years ago but she gave up very soon. =/. Only if my scanner works....sigh.....

With licencing, lots of shoujou manga are taken off the nets, if you really dig something just buy it then. Although I'm not happy with the quality of translation in official releases compared to fan scanlations, it's better to have the printed copy.

I have never read a shoujo manga (I read only seinen and shounen) but I watched fruits basket anime.....the best shojou anime IMO. I also watched Angel Sanctuary OVAs.

you watch them not read. fruits basket is really popular and it's still continuing! how many volumes is it now, 13 or 14? i only read one chapter from Tokyopop and that's it.

i read mostly shoujo manga.. shonen manga once in a while....

Skip Beat is quite good i must say.. light-hearted.. and funny... i HEART REN~~~~ *i HEART ren from NANA too.. ^^;;;*

i usually follow mangaka rather than follow manga.. ^^;;; like.. i always like Takeuchi Masami's work..esp. the ones released in the 90s.. recent works.. her drawing style sorta changed a bit... i dont like it as much now.. but i still try to buy her manga whenever i can ... another mangaka who draws along the same sorta storyline would be Kitagawa Miyuki..

sorta like Shinohara Chie's work too.. but her stuff is usually quite long... same goes w/ Saito Chiho's stuff too.. their plots are somewhat on the same line too ^^;;; in my opinion at least..

and Watase Yuu of course ^^ Fushigi Yuugi ~ and her other work..

Hatori BISCO *Ouran's mangaka* is quite good of course.. i like some of her other work too.. but cant remember the names now..

and Hayakawa Tomoko's "Yamato-Nadeshiko Shiti-Henge" is VERY interesting to read too.. haha.. interesting characters..

there are just way too many names to be mentioned.. so many shoujo manga to read~~ hehehe

Yep, any Kaori Yuki's works quite excellent. Angel Sanctuary takes a bit of your brain away though, coz the story kinda difficult esp. when it all talks about heaven/angel/satan stuff.

CLAMP is the other best mangaka ^^
Freesia, Saito Chiho's works quite interesting as well. I collect lots of her works too.

i think I have passed the shoujou manga period coz i was so into it like 3 years ago. by now I've read most of the good ones available and now I can't find a series I really dig so I stopped reading.

I agree Saitou chiho's work is excellent, lots of her manga revolve around incest relationship though. I love Kanon but how can Mikami be her father.....................sigh Everyone should read Anastasia Club, it's fun and light-hearted.

Shinohara Chie's Sora wa Akaikawa no hotori (Red River) is great but 28 volumes.....is pretty long and the story lost its attractiveness to me halfway through. It's licensed as well, just saw it at kino a year ago.

Clamp's RG veda is another classic. I don't like any work after it. It's the only clamp art I recommend. Personally can't stand chobits.

Out of all Watase Yuu's stuff Ayashi no Ceres is her best work in my opinion. I used to like Fushigi Yuugi but after reading Ayashi series, it seems pretty lame to me. I was into her work b4 I got hooked on to Yuki Kaori. Now I look back, well, I just can't love Watase's work as much.

Kantarella is less well-known but it's quite good as well. Sad thing is it's terminated until further notice.

i read angel sanctuary(online kind, not the d/l kind) up till halfway before i finished university and came back home and no more internet for a long time... by the time i got an internet connection, the place where i got it closed down already... and i almost got the part when they got into action too...

well, my first shoujo was Sailormoon, so can you understand how until now i'm kinda traumatized by shoujo manga and am a bit reluctant to read more... usually i download them, read a volume or two, and if i'm not interested, then i'll delete them... surprisingly, even thought i like my yaoi to have loads of action, i don't like my shoujo manga to have too much action, you know... makes me feels like reading a hentai manga or something...

fushigi, it was a good story, but then, the heroin.... >_< she just irritates me you know... there's a limit to ones stupidity.... thinking about it puts me in a bad mood...

what i like about ouran is, haruhi is not a crybaby and somewhat smart... she didn't gets on my nerves... and Lovely Complex, i like it because it's beliveable... i mean, even though the girl is really tall, at least she looks feminine enough and that quality is acceptable... i've read other mangas where a really tall girl falls in love with a shorter guy, but when the girl looks so much like a guy and all, it gets a bit like fake, you know? it didn't make any connection with me so Lovely Complex is still the best in its category (tall girl + short guy)..... XD

but the thing about ouran anime is, it's so pink... @_@

Agree! It has that hentai feeling and I can't read it freely... eventhough it's suppose to be a shoujo manga. I mean, when I'm reading yaoi, I know that I have to be careful, but shoujo?! I want to be able to read it on broad daylight and ppl won't accuse me of reading hentai.

My first was Candy Candy manga and anime. Feel so old.. when I mentioned that coz not a lot of ppl know that anime/manga.

Which Sailormoon did you read, baka-chan? The anime-made-manga ones or the black/white super long ones? The real manga isn't that bad actually. As long as you don't watch the live-action as well. *shudder*
